The Monksmead Partnership is a new private investment fund for the purpose of investing in small to medium size enterprises where the combination of new investment capital and management expertise can be applied to yield their full potential.
The fund has been formed largely from the assets of Jack Lovell and John Morgan who, together, formed Morgan Sindall plc, the construction group, that is today capitalised at approaching £500 million.
Whilst they are still significant shareholders in this company, they have recently sold shares to the value of approaching £30 million with a view to further broadening their investment portfolio.
Nick Theakston, an experienced corporate financier, specialising in venture capital style transactions is a founder member of the Partnership and collectively the team have been investing in a range of businesses since the late 1970s.
The partners have a track record for growing these businesses by offering sound strategic direction, careful investment and through supporting management teams in creating the right environment for success.
